Getting to Gran Canaria

The Las Palmas airport is located halfway between the North and the South.

Las Palmas is 30 minutes drive to the North by taxi.

Express buses go frequently from the platform on the motorway, 5 minutes walk.

Public transportation is good and taxi is relatively inexpensive, you do not need a rental car in Gran Canaria.

 

Airfares:
Many airlines fly directly to Las Palmas, both regular and budget.

Also, many charter flights go to Las Palmas, so check both regular airlines and charter companies.

Getting to Las Palmas

Within Las Palmas there is walking distance between most locations.  Taxi is inexpensive.

You can easily walk from the bus station to the Hotel Cristina in 10 minutes.

From the south of Gran Canaria:
Express buses are fast, cheap and clean and take about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Take line xxx and xxx.

Avoid line xxx and xxx because they drive by all the smaller places.

Taxi from the south to the north will run you approximately Euro 100.
